Do nothing I cannot defend.
Cover, write and present every story with the care I would want if the story were about me.
Assume there is at least one other side or version to every story.
Assume the viewer is as smart and as caring and as good a person as I am.
Assume the same about all people on whom I report.
Assume personal lives are a private matter, until...

Travel.
After reading this last week I have decided that traveling needs to be a top priority. Frivolous purchases OUT and weekends in different cities IN. The following cities include people I love that have asked me to visit this year:
Los Angeles
Chicago
Austin
New York
Denver
and New Orleans
The cat is going crazy.
The cat, whose name is Kitten, is going crazy since Stef (my roommate and owner of said cat) is out of town for the holidays. Most of my days have included the following conversation.
Cat: Wa. Wa. Wa.

Cat: Wa. Wa. Wa.

Me: Please stop.

School.
Finalized next semester’s classes a few moments ago. I only have to be on campus for a few hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Everything else is online. I sure hopes this helps me juggle all of my responsibilities since I’ll be able to work on my other classes from anywhere. More importantly, I hope this allows me to travel more.

Then I finished my piece for Knight Living, started a new book, watched a movie with the family, made fun of my brother all through dinner and started a short story complete with outline. I hate...
Home sweet home.
Finally made the trek down to Lake Worth, Florida to visit the family for the holidays. I was suppose to come last week to see my friend since first grade, Alyssa, and watch my cousins hipster-rock band perform BUT strep throat kept me in Orlando.
Luckily, my friend Carmen wasn’t leaving Orlando until today too so we carpooled. Driving with friends is always better than driving without.

Being sick sucks.
I can only lay around and rest for about 24 hours before I give in and go to the doctor.
I got a presciption for my strep throat and should be better in a few days.
Oh, America.
From a NYT opinion piece:
“Some things about the American economy haven’t changed all that much. We work really hard and switch jobs more frequently than anybody else. The average American works 9 weeks longer per year than the average Western European, which is insane but does mean our standard of living is higher.”
