I like that ...
… my friends feel they can tell me anything regardless of the subject matter. I have worked hard to break down these walls society and Miss Manners have built and feel confident that people trust me with embarrassing details of their life. It also helps that I have finally learned to not repeat said secrets.

How Twitter saved my career... and my life
“As the months crawled by, it seemed as if I would be unemployed forever. For weeks I considered changing my career to something other than journalism, even though I have an unabashed love and passion for the craft. It was on the days that I was feeling at my lowest that I would still send a tweet about something fascinating I’d seen online. The most casual tweets, often written to...

So funny.
I love when people meet me, one time, and describe me as shy and reserved. There could be nothing further from the truth. Embrace the quiet time now, friends, because it sure doesn’t last long.

10 Ways to Make Your Day More Interesting
twothirty: 1. When you go to the ATM, select a language other than your first or second language just to see if you can make it through the process without completely emptying your bank accounts. 2. Brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand.  Just be sure to have a towel handy to clean up the mess you will surely make. 3. For one day, eat a piece of fruit with every meal.  Also, drink only...

“There’s too much emphasis these days on productivity, on hyperefficiency, on squeezing the most production out of every last minute. People have forgotten how to relax. How to be lazy. How to enjoy life. Try this: read some of the best books, magazines and blogs on productivity, and see how many will tell you how to get the most out of the time you spend waiting, how to maximize your...

Jerriann — Michelle and I were heartbroken to learn this morning of the death of our dear friend, Senator Ted Kennedy. For nearly five decades, virtually every major piece of legislation to advance the civil rights, health and economic well-being of the American people bore his name and resulted from his efforts. His ideas and ideals are stamped on scores of laws and reflected in millions...

Why bedtime snacks are a bad idea
delgrosso: In my dream last night, I threw a huge party. Amy Poehler was there, and so were Ray Bradbury and Caterina Murino. Amy wasn’t funny at all, and I tried talking to Mr. Bradbury about storytelling but he ignored me. Caterina waved at me to come talk to her, but before I could get over there, some fat guy cornered me and talked my ear off about the perfect temperature for serving beer....
