First day back to school.

Unlike some of my friends I had the most splendid morning at school. The first day of the semester is a mess at UCF. No parking, endless construction and about 20,000 kids on campus, that after three weeks, are not normally there.

I started off the morning with breakfast with Sean that included massive amounts of coffee which has now turned into my coffee high. Followed by the inevitable coffee crash. Blessed like an angel from above I found a parking spot in 3 minutes flat. Please, be aware that this is unheard of at UCF. Let alone the first day of school when two parking garages are closed.

My first class was Editing I. In case you have not noticed yet, by reading this blog, but I am terrible at editing. The comma and I have a very loose relationship. This class ensures that I will fix some of these careless errors since it is taught by the adviser of the whole program. This is not the man to mess up in front of. Bonus points were added when we were let out early. The crucial success of the day thus far though lies in the fact that my only required text book for this, and another class, is the AP Stylebook. I have had this book for years since it is essential for journalists.

With tuition rates having been raised by 15% not having to spend money on books is like someone handing you a few hundred dollars.

90 minutes looking for parking? That is insane. I am sorry.
