My body is pretty simple. If I don’t sleep I will get sick. Usually I can push it for a few sleepless nights before getting sick though. I suppose in my old age of 24 though I get two … definitely not three nights of bad sleep. That third is apparently the one where my body says, “Well eff you too!” And the sickness arrives. Luckily, for me, my body bounces back pretty easily. By which I mean 12+ hours of sleep in one day combined with large amounts of DayQuil and NyQuil.
So, my goal for the week is to still accomplish all of my personal and professional goals without getting sick again. Which means not necessarily a lot more sleep so much as better sleep. Better sleep means less coffee (6 cups a day IS to much), less beer (beer = fat anyway) and less sweets. I am so sensitive to the sugar that it interrupts my sleep as well. Basically, I am an 80 year old woman. Pretty soon I’ll have one of those pills boxes for my vitamins.
