The Global Perspectives Office is pleased to announce a public forum entitled “Global Terrorism in 2009: Assessing the Changing Threat,” which will take place Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Central Florida in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union.
A group of prominent experts on global terrorism trends will share their thoughts on the current threat and suggestions for future policy.
Those presenting at this public forum include Sebastian Gorka, National Defense University; John Schindler, United States Naval War College; and Mark Thompson, U.S. Department of State. The forum will be moderated by Stephen Sloan, University of Central Florida.
This forum is free and open to the public. In addition to the Global Perspectives Office, sponsors include the UCF Terrorism Studies Program, Institute for Transitional Democracy and International Security in Budapest, Hungary, Lawrence J. Chastang and the Chastang Foundation, UCF Political Science Department, UCF Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Department, UCF International Services Center, UCF LIFE and the Global Connections Foundation.
