Over Spring Break John and I went to St. Pete for the day.
I met with my one of my favorite people in the world - Dr. Dean Khors. I met him while attending a Phi Theta Kappa seminar and we have been friends ever since. I have read his book and am now watching his site - Hacking College - grow into a beautiful thing.
He was kind enough to introduce me to the director of the Journalism program at USF - St. Pete. We had lunch and discussed the program, the iPad and the best nachos in Florida. I am considering attending grad school there so it was a pleasure to meet the director.
John’s family lives there so we spent most of the evening with them. They (John, his mom and his stepdad) are all working on their PhD’s in psychology. Each of them is studying a different field within the Psychology field so dinner conversation is always interesting.
Getting out of Orlando, even if it is only for a few hours, is always fun.
It is research week at UCF!
Here is my stance on it and why all students should attend at least one seminar.
